Russian Occupation 1945

The Russian occupation forces issued a seperate serie of small notes denominated in 50 Reichspfenning and 1 Reichsmark - still in the currency of the German Mark. The bills were valid till 20 December 1945.

The text on the back translates like this:
This bill is valid means of payment in Austria till 20 December 1945.
Between December 23rd and 31st, 1945 this bill can only be used as payment towards bank and savings accounts. The amounts deposited thereby are subject to the "Schilling-Law" StGBL Nr. 231/1945 underlying the same limitations as for deposits made between December 1st and 22nd, 1945.
